Ok here goes... The dp seperator will not work with the 34-switch. Keep the dp sepolerator handy just invade you switch to a different switch in the future such as a dpp lnb or a 44 switch or a 33 switch. Those switches will allow you to use only one cable from the satellite dish to the receiver and you will be required to use a dp seperator.

What switch to use depends on your lnbs. Which lnb to use depends on your dish type and how many receivers are connected to the one dish. If you are able to use a dpp twin lnb, you can connect 119 & 110 on the same dish and 61.5 on the 2nd dish. You would run a cable from the dp dual or dp single lnb to the 3rd port (farthest to the right, by itself, away from the other 2) and run only one line to the 612 receiver, connecting a dp seperator.

In your case, it sounds like there must be a reason to have satellite orbital location 119 & satellite orbital location 110 on seperate satellite antenna reflectors / dishes. In this case, you have several options depending on your lnb type. If you have a non dish pro lnb otherwise known as a legacy lnb (no dp written on it), then you would use a sw 64 switch or an sw 44 switch or an sw 42 switch. There is another option that should work that is cheaper. It requires 2 high frequency signal splitters (not to be confused with a regular splitter) and 2 sw 21 switches put backwards. <- Jerome Robinson will test this on Wednesday for you and I will report on the results.

Can you provide more info on your situation? Lnb type? Are there other receivers connected to this satellite antenna and lnb?

The 34-switch will only work with a dish pro lnb. You can tell if you have a dp (dish pro) lnb because it will say dp pro somewhere on the lnb, otherwise it's a legacy lnb which it a different technology. Legacy is older equipment and more difficult to get replacement parts.

i have the vip612 dvr- I have 2 dishes one pointed to 110 the other pointed to 119

how do I cable the dishes 1] what LNBs do I use [2] what switch do I use ? and after the switch? cable to Sat1 or Sat1 and 2 ??

At this moment not sure of what LNB i'm using? The switch I use now is a DP34 dual[1] and dual [2] 1 cable to to Sat1 and the other cable to Sat2 -- could this be correct

check switch gives me sat input 1= 1 110 ok #2 119 ok #3 x x n.c. the same with Sat input 2

Please explain what is this dp plus separator that came with in the box.
